Synopsis

Previously unpublished issue #24 of the Ms. Marvel (1st series). Originally written and drawn in 1979. "Sabretooth Stalks the Subway!" Guest-starring Iron Man. Script by Chris Claremont. Art by Mike Vosburg. Original cover by Dave Cockrum and Terry Austin included inside. After a training session at Avengers Mansion, Carol Danvers joins her friends for lunch in Sheridan Square. But a runaway SHIELD truck crashes into the restaurant! Oh no, that truck was carrying the savage killer known as Sabretooth! Ms. Marvel doesn't care though; she's going down into the subway to catch the big cat! Cameo appearance by Jasper Sitwell. Final appearance of Dr. Mike Barnett. (Notes: This story takes place before the tragic events of Avengers Annual 10. This is the second chronological appearance of Sabretooth.) Second story: "I Won't Take 'No' for an Answer!" Guest-starring the Sub-Mariner and Namorita. Script by Barry Dutter. Pencils by Patrick Archibald. Inks by Andrew Pepoy. The Avenging Son and Namorita stop a hostile takeover of Oracle Inc! Appearance by the Rhino. Third story: "The Terror!" Guest-starring the Vision and the Scarlet Witch. Script by Bill Mantlo. Pencils by Mike Mignola. Inks by Armando Gil. Story continues from Marvel Fanfare 58. The citizens of Leonia, New Jersey don't want former avengers as their neighbors! And their misplaced prejudice accidentally summons supernatural demons to their community! Thus forcing Wanda and her husband to protect...the very people that hate them. A powerful story with terrific art. Flashback cameos by Magneto, Quicksilver, the original X-Men, and the Avengers. (Note: This story takes place prior to the second Vision and Scarlet Witch Limited Series (1985) and the VisionQuest storyline.) Fourth feature: Pin-ups of the Sub-Mariner (by Archibald and Pepoy), Wolverine, Fantastic Four, Doctor Doom, Machine Man (by Bruce Zick), and Magneto & the X-Men (by Charles Vess). (Note: Cover by E. Craig Brasfield and Jeffrey Albrecht.)  "The Terror!" takes place prior to Vision and the Scarlet Witch Volume 2. "I Won't Take 'No' For An Answer!" takes place prior to Namor the Sub-Mariner Vol 1 8 "Sabretooth Stalks the Subway!" takes place prior to Avengers Annual Vol 1 10. This was originally slated to be published as part of the Ms. Marvel series, as issue Vol 1 24. However, as the 1979 series was canceled at issue Vol 1 23, the story never saw publication until it appeared in the pages of this issue.
